Basement House was firstly established in the year of 2005, which in
the beginning is formed for the reason that Ical and Ferdy hold the
same passion in music, and such decision was made in a house. As a
result, they named it “Basement House”.
In 2006, Ferdy decided to leave the group in order to study abroad. Ical decided to continue spreading the spirit of house in Jakarta and any other place with Robin. Furthermore in 2007, Messa as a manager and Anggarez as a DJ jointly entered Basement House. Mike Wowor empowered Basement House in 2008. At the present, Basement House DJs, consisting of Ical, Robin, Anggarez and Mike Wowor comprised different taste of music, such as: Deep house, Acid House, disco, nu disco, jackin, techno, afro beat., etc.
“Jackin’ the House” is their monthly house mash-up at the same time as a regular event with various kind of concept in each episode. The fundamental idea of it is in order to make people as relaxed, comfy and happy as they can be with their tunes.
Indication of Basement House’s existence in the dance industry has also been supported by fabricating the new years event “SOUNDS OF GILI 2008” on the Gili Islands of Indonesia, a collaboration between Basement House, Microchip and Juice magazine.
Until now Basement House is still consistently approaching underground house in Jakarta scene, through many parties and occasion they encouraged.
